2. Recap of Episode 7 of The Beginning After The End
The latest episode of The Beginning After The End started with Arthur and Tessia watching the king and queen heading out for an important conference. They’re slightly older now, and much stronger and capable compared to how they were previously. Virion, too, seemed to be satisfied with their growth, and he finally deemed it to be time for Arthur to learn to control his beast core, which was responsible for his sudden bouts of pain. Arthur, too, was determined to undergo any kind of training.
Virion did a simple demonstration in which he assimilated with his own beast core, which gave him tremendous speed and power. This sudden spike of power was so large that Arthur felt intimidated and immediately accepted defeat. His motive was to let Arthur know that having control over his beast core would confer him unimaginable strength. Following this, Virion did a simple exercise in which he “set fire” to Arthur’s beast-core. This incited a pretty exaggerated response from Arthur, after which he fainted.
From this incident, Virion realised that Arthur had some pretty crazy beast core, and confronted Arthur about this when he woke up. Arthur told him that he may have inherited a dragon’s beast will. Virion was pretty shocked to hear this, and asked Arthur not to reveal this to anyone as it would cause unnecessary conflict. He then told Arthur that he would be able to return home in four months, which was two years before schedule, thanks to Tessia’s parents’ efforts.
Arthur was really bummed out about this, but his training still went on, and he could successfully train his beast core along with his mana core. This also rid him of the pain he had in his beast core. After much waiting, we also got to see Sylvia’s egg hatch, and a really cute black dragon emerged from it. The dragon, which Arthur named Sylvie, imprinted on Arthur, and they are now inseparable. Speaking of inseparable, Tessia was hit pretty bad by the news of Arthur leaving, and couldn’t bear to be separated from him.
The episode ended with Arthur being led to the gate leading to to human world by the royal family and many other well-wishers. Tessia was not among the crowd initially, but right when Arthur was ready to leave, Tessia showed up, and she was a teary mess. The two had a final embrace, and Arthur told Tessia that he would miss her a lot, and the two had a heart-wrenching farewell, after which Arthur passed through the gate and entered the human world.
3. Speculation of Episode 8 of The Beginning After The End
The post-credit scene of the latest episode showed Arthur visiting his parents’ new home. The door was opened by a young girl, who was likely Arthur’s younger sister, and his parents, Reynold and Alice. Reynold looks slightly older now, but Alice hasn’t changed much from when Arthur was a baby.
Since we haven’t gotten any reactions from Arthur’s family yet, the next episode will likely be their much-awaited reunion, filled with tears and hugs.
