2. Recap of Episode 2 of My Dress Up Darling Season 2
Marin and Gojo get interrogated about their relationship status after they were spotted together in the summer festival. The sudden questioning flusters Gojo and he firmly shuts down any and all rumors of them dating, unintentionally hurting Marin in the process. While Gojo thinks Marin would never like someone like him, Marin feels discouraged about her feelings for him.
Misunderstandings escalate further when Gojo assumes Marin is being harassed by two men, only for them to turn out to be her hairstylists. However, Gojo’s protectiveness leaves an impact on Marin, and she kisses his cheek in gratitude, but Gojo still misinterprets the gesture.
The next day, Marin is out sick, and when she doesn’t respond to messages, Gojo skips school and visits her apartment with medicine and homemade food. Gojo takes care of her and Marin tears up as he stays by her side until her fever breaks. However, when her friends arrive all of a sudden, he hides outside in the cold and ends up getting sick himself.
Later, the duo attend a cosplay event where they meet a new character, Amane Himeno, a guy who is really good at cosplaying female characters. After helping him fix a wardrobe issue, Gojo and Marin are surprised to learn Amane’s real gender and are roped into an exciting conversation about crossplay and everything that comes with it.
3. Speculation of Episode 3 of My Dress Up Darling Season 2
With Amane now introduced, it’s likely we’ll see more of him in the next episode, and with how fun the last conversation was going, he’ll probably become a friend we’ll see around a lot more. He’s skilled, and can prove to be a double edged sword for Gojo, whether as someone inspiring or someone to be jealous of.
Meanwhile, the romantic storyline between Gojo and Marin keeps going back and forth, but Marin is trying her best to get her feelings across. As Gojo continues gaining confidence in both cosplay and his relationships, we can probably expect a lot more progress.
