1. How to get and use the Night Staff in Grow a Garden?

The Night Staff is a special tool introduced in Grow a Garden during the Lunar Glow Event. This moon-shaped staff plays a key role in mutating your plants into Moonlit Fruit, which you can then offer to the Wise Old Owl.

However, to get your hands on the Night Staff, you’ll need to collect some Moonlit Fruit and redeem them for the staff as a reward at the Lunar Glow Event.

i. How to get the Night Staff in Grow a Garden?

You can earn Night Staffs by collecting Lunar Points during the Lunar Event. Lunar Points are gained by handing Moonlit Fruits to the Wise Old Owl at the center of the map. The rarer the fruit, the more points you get.

The staff appears four times on the reward track, and you can collect up to six in total:

• 40 Lunar Points – 1 Night Staff
• 110 Lunar Points – 1 Night Staff
• 250 Lunar Points – 1 Night Staff
• 360 Lunar Points – 3 Night Staffs

Collect Moonlit Fruits, trade them in, and work your way up the reward track to gather more Night Staffs!

ii. How to use the Night Staff in Grow a Garden?

Once you unlock a Night Staff, it’s automatically added to your backpack. To use it, find the staff in your inventory and place it in your garden.

Each Night Staff has 6 charges, meaning it can mutate up to six fruits before it disappears. You can check remaining uses by hovering over the staff.

There’s no guarantee all 6 mutations will happen during a single Nightfall, but if you’re lucky, you might hit the max in one cycle!

2. What does the Night Staff do in Grow a Garden?

The Night Staff boosts the chance of a fruit gaining the Moonlit Mutation during nighttime. Just as Lightning Rods help trigger the Shocked mutation, Night Staffs harness moonlight to produce the Moonlit mutation.

The Night Staff becomes active only during nightfall. While it’s placed in your garden, it will automatically channel moonlight to nearby fruits. It can even stack with other weather events to boost mutation chances further.

When successful, you’ll see a glowing purple fruit and receive both a notification and a ping sound indicating: “Your Night Staff mutated a fruit to Moonlit.”
