In Dune: Awakening, repairing items is fairly straightforward once you build a repair station, though you will require plenty of resources. Some equipment breaks down faster and costs more to restore, so plan before venturing out.

Always repair your gear and maintain your base to avoid being stranded or defenseless in the desert. Don’t discard broken high-quality items; you’ll be able to repair them later.

To start repairing items in Dune: Awakening, you’ll first need to unlock the Repair Station through research. Open the research menu once you’ve gathered enough Intel but note that some research options are locked early on.

At a minimum, you’ll need to have built a sub-fief before the Repair Station becomes available. The Repair Station schematic can be found under the Construction tab and costs 3 Intel.

After crossing the Vermillius Gap, you’ll encounter a quest that guides you through the repair research process—check your Journey menu for details.

Once the schematic is unlocked, you’ll need to build the Repair Station using the Construction Tool. This requires 40 Iron Ingots, which can only be made after finishing the tutorial.

Head north to Vermillius Gap to mine Iron Ore, then refine it back at your sub-fief. Once you have enough ingots, you can build the Repair Station and start fixing your gear.

  • For Unique items, check if they have value with merchants. Many can still be sold for Solari.
  • If not valuable, recycle the item to recover some of the original crafting materials.
  • If you want to craft a unique item again, you’ll need its schematic.
  • You can collect and stack multiple schematics of the same Unique item, making it easier to rebuild your favorite gear.
