So, there are two endings in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. However, it only depends on an important choice made by the player just before the final fight. You can either choose Maelle or Verso. 

Both the endings are similar, just with a change of perspective. Maelle is determined to save Lumiere while Verso has a completely opposite stance.

After beating Renoir, Maelle and Verso arrive at a crossroad. Maelle wants to save their world and preserve it. On the other hand, Verso is against saving Lumiere and wants to end it. 

There is no clear right or wrong choice. You just have to go with who you think is correct. 

Can you play both endings in Expedition 33?

There is a save point right before the final choice is made. You can revisit this in case you want to go with another option.

As mentioned before, the choices made previously have no impact on the ending whatsoever. There is nothing hidden at play here.
