With larger levels than ever, there’s plenty of space in Doom: The Dark Ages to stash hidden challenges, like the Wolf Statues.
Found across four chapters, destroying these statues earns weapon upgrade materials and helps complete the “Hunter” challenge in The Kar’thul Marshes.
They aren’t marked on the map, so finding them can be tough, but we’ve got you covered with all their locations to help you hit 100% completion.
1. How to find all Wolf Statues in Doom: The Dark Ages?
In Doom: The Dark Ages, Wolf Statues are part of a chapter-specific puzzle. Destroying them with your thrown Shield rewards you with Rubies or Wraithstones. Once all the statues in a chapter are broken, spectral wolf effigies appear to guard the reward.
As you destroy the Wolf Statues, new ones appear around the treasure, gradually filling in the ghostly silhouettes. Once all the plinths are occupied, it means you’ve found every statue in the area, and the treasure becomes available.
The specific reward depends on the mission, and while valuable, these rewards can’t be farmed repeatedly by replaying the chapter. With that in mind, here are all the Wolf Statue locations in Doom: The Dark Ages, organized by chapter.
2. All Wolf Statue Locations in Doom: The Dark Ages by Chapter
The Wolf Statues are distributed across several chapters: 3 statues in Chapter 6, The Siege Part 1; 3 in Chapter 9, The Ancestral Forge; 5 in Chapter 16, The Kar’Thul Marshes; and 4 in Chapter 20, Resurrection.
i. All Wolf Statue Locations in Siege – Part 1 (Chapter 6)
Chapter 6 introduces the Wolf Statue mechanic with three statues arranged in a small triangle, making them easy to find. This section serves more as a tutorial than a challenge.
Here’s where to find each statue:
- First Statue – Located in the water directly behind and below the wolf effigy ledge, close to the Shrine’s lower level.
- Second Statue – From the second statue’s location, head left into a boot-shaped crevice. It’s tucked under a fallen tree, hidden behind a large rock and a couple of barrels.
- Third Statue – Found on a small ledge above, visible as you descend the ramp from the wolf effigies. Look on top of the rocks overlooking the area.
Reward: 1x Ruby
ii. All Wolf Statue Locations in Ancestral Forge (Chapter 9)
Chapter 9 features three Wolf Statues, but unlike Siege – Part 1, they’re spread much farther apart and require more exploration and combat to uncover. You’ll also need to find the level’s Secret Key to access the final statue.
Here’s where to find each statue:
- First Statue – Locked behind a major combat encounter. You’ll need to clear out a wave of enemies before you can reach and destroy it.
- Second Statue – This one is hidden behind a gate near the mission’s starting point. To access it, find the level’s Secret Key, then return to the gate to unlock the path and reach the statue.
- Third Statue – Perched on a high cliff overlooking the Shrine and wolf effigies. Look up above the area to spot it.
Reward: 1x Wraithstone
iii. All Wolf Statue Locations in The Kar’Thul Marshes (Chapter 16)
Chapter 16, The Kar’Thul Marshes, contains more Wolf Statues than any other level in Doom: The Dark Ages—a total of five. Breaking all of them completes the hidden “Hunter” challenge, making it a key mission for full completion.
Here’s where to find each statue:
- First Statue – Found immediately after starting the level. Turn left and head to the cliff’s edge at a dead end.
- Second Statue – From the Shrine, look over the ledge on the right side and down a tunnel to spot it.
- Third Statue – Located in a swampy area surrounded by tentacles. Look near a boulder beside a large tentacle enemy.
- Fourth Statue – Head to the curved section marked on your map. Peer over the cliff’s edge to spot the statue positioned just out of bounds.
- Fifth Statue – Near the central Shrine, drop down into a small tunnel past the gold to find this hidden statue.
Reward: 1x Wraithstone
iv. All Wolf Statue Locations in Resurrection (Chapter 20)
Resurrection (Chapter 20) is the final level to feature Wolf Statues in Doom: The Dark Ages. There are only four to find scattered across the map, and not always easy to spot. Completing the puzzle here restores the wolf effigies.
Here’s where to find each statue:
- First Statue – Located in a side chamber near the main Shrine, behind a group of cultists. Look for it in an underground room branching off the central area.
- Second Statue – Found at the edge of the map above a pile of gold. You’ll need to defeat a tough Mancubus in a nearby combat encounter to reach it.
- Third Statue – Hidden in a tunnel beneath a bridge. Check the trench running under the structure.
- Fourth Statue – Climb up and over the same bridge to find this statue on a cliff edge between two tree stumps and bits of debris.
Reward: 1x Wraithstone
That wraps up all the Wolf Statue locations in Doom: The Dark Ages. These puzzles are well worth completing, as the weapon upgrade materials they provide are essential for powering up your arsenal.
