The official artwork and synopsis have been released and the viewers are intrigued by this sequel. Since Yashahime takes place years after the end of Inuyasha, the fans are intently waiting for a new adventure.

Now that we know that there is a confirmed season coming in October, below is everything that we know about the upcoming instalment.

2. Theory Section

Why should we look forward to this anime? Let’s look into the technical details such as the animation, the studio, and its popularity to check what influences the production of ‘Inuyasha: Hanyou no Yashahime’.

I. About the Studio

The series will be produced by Sunrise which is well known for anime like Inuyasha, Code Geass, Gintama, Accel World, Cowboy Bebop, Mobile Suit Gundam, and more.

Director Teruo Satou has worked on pieces like Kekkaishi, Tales of Abyss, and Yakitake Japan.

II. Financial Statistics

Inuyasha manga has sold over 45 million copies and in 2002 won the 47th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shonen category. In North America, the manga appeared on ‘The New York Times’ top-selling lists.

The anime ranked 20 by TV Asahi of the best anime series in 2006.

III. Animation Quality

The show, visually, remains consistently good. The constant switch from quests in the feudal era to the modern-day daily routines is novel.

The characters retain their detail over the entire anime series. However the most dispiriting of all is the action.

Inuyasha AMV

The series started very well with epic choreography and the visual effects complimented the battle scenes.

But in the latter part of the series, the characters start using energy attacks instead, which doesn’t give the same impact to the audience.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for some good action sequences in the new Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon series.

IV. Was Season 1 any good?

Inuyasha is a show that doesn’t just depend on its plot, it doesn’t feel deep but oddly satisfying. The story is methodical and flows smoothly over ‘dire’ situations with the help of Kagome and Inuyasha.

There are plenty of plot twists and engaging narratives whose use we understand later in the series.

The anime is set up for character empathization. Throughout the series, we deepen our concern for the characters on a personal level rather than for the plot.

Now that Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is going to premiere in fall 2020, the fans are excited to know how the new story will unfold.

Instead of hitting the bottom of the well, Kagome ends up 500 years in the past during Japan’s violent Sengoku period with the demon’s true target, a wish-granting jewel called the Shikon Jewel, reborn inside of her.

After a battle with a revived demon accidentally causes the sacred jewel to shatter into 100 pieces, Kagome enlists the help of a half-dog half-human named Inuyasha to help her collect the shards and prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.
