Strike Witches is a mix-media franchise that focuses on a squadron of teenagers who fight against alien forces called Neuroi. Numerous manga, anime, light novels, and games have been based on the franchise.
However, what is the life of these teenagers like outside of the battles? The cute daily lives and routines of the squad must spike curiosity in a lot of people. World Witches Takeoff! anime is here to satiate that curiosity.
The official website of World Witches Takeoff! announced that the anime will be released in 2021.
The anime’s website also revealed the plot, cast, and staff who have worked on the project.
Strike Witches: 501st JOINT FIGHTER WING Take Off! was the first film to capture the daily lives of Strike Witches while they are not battling or brainstorming.
The humorous aspect of the anime pleased fans as it showed a refreshing side of the girls. This popularity might have also led to the production of the World Witches Takeoff! anime.
Fans will be delighted to know that World Witches Takeoff! will not only include the characters from Strike Witches but also the anime characters from the spinoff, Brave Witches.
Thus both the 501st and 502nd Joint Fighter Wings will be featured in the anime.
The majority of the staff from the Strike Witches anime series will be returning to animate the World Witches Takeoff! Series. The cast members of both Strike Witches and Brave Witches will participate in this joint project.
The story is by the original writer, Fumikane Shimada. Fumio Ito is directing the anime while Kei Kei is in charge of character design.
Nagaoka Shigemu is the music composer for the series. The anime is being produced under studios ‘acca effe’ and ‘Giga Production.’
