Who is the strongest Saiyan in Dragon Ball Universe?

The latest chapter 61 of Dragon Ball Super shows Moro as an antagonist. Moro has succeeded in defeating Both Goku and Vegeta, even after they have increased their powers.

How does their strength compare to other Saiyans? Who is the strongest Saiyan, and who is the weakest?

10. Son Goten

Son Goten is the youngest son of Goku and his wife Chi-Chi, making him a Saiyan and Earthling hybrid. Due to his genetics, Goten has a lot of raw power and S-cells due to which he is quite powerful.

In fact, he attained his Super Saiyan transformation much earlier than his father and brother.

Super Saiyan Baby Goten was able to fight on par with base Gohan and even forced him to turn Super Saiyan by powering up. In the Super 17 Saga, in his base form, Goten could easily dodge Pui Pui’s energy blasts and defeat him with a single kick.

However, while still incredibly powerful for his age, his power isn’t enough to face any significant threats. Goten is ranked on 10th on this list, mainly due to his unlimited potential.

9. Kale

Kale is the latest Legendary Saiyan of Universe 6, and a demon warrior who appears once every 1,000 years.

Even before learning Super Saiyan, Kale was already stronger than any other Universe 6 Saiyans.

In the Tournament of Power, Kale’s abilities came into full display. Her immense speed allowed her to catch Frieza off-guard and strike him off balance. In fact, her mere screams created large craters in the ground.

Legendary Super Saiyan Kale was able to completely overpower both Caulifla and Cabba, who were fighting her in their Super Saiyan form.

Her real strength was great enough to mesmerize even the likes of Goku. Even Jiren acknowledged Kale before going into meditation.

Due to her great potential, Kale is ranked as the 9th strongest Saiyan.

8. Future Trunks

Future Trunks is the Saiyan and Earthling hybrid son of Vegeta and Bulma from an alternate future. Due to the timeline being altered, the two Trunks have entirely different lives.

Future Gohan trained future Trunks, and he traveled back in time to save his world’s future. When he faced Frieza, he could already transform into his Super Saiyan form.

In the manga, he revealed he could enhance his Super Saiyan 2 power to practically equal Goku’s Super Saiyan 3 power. Trunks achieved the Ultra Super Saiyan form, which increased his muscle mass and raw strength.

Furthermore, he also obtained the Rage Super Saiyan form and defeated Fused Zamasu.

Due to his feats, he is ranked in eighth place.

7. Son Gohan

Son Gohan is a half-breed Saiyan and the eldest son of Goku and his wife, Chi-Chi. Unlike his father, who loves to fight, Gohan prefers only to battle when he needed.

Despite his lack of interest, Gohan is shown to be a prodigy whose innate talent and natural growth rate exceeds even that of his father. By age 10, Gohan’s power and raw skill were on par with Goku.

Gohan has shown a seemingly limitless dormant power within him, which only reveals itself when experiencing extreme emotional stress. Despite retiring, once he began training again, he quickly returned to his peak.

Both Goku and Vegeta agree that Gohan’s potential exceeds theirs even after they both obtained Super Saiyan Blue.

While some are more powerful, Gohan’s Super Saiyan 2 form and potential make him an apt match for the 7th strongest Saiyan.

6. Goku Black

Goku Black is the main antagonist of the “Future” Trunks Saga of Dragon Ball Super. His true identity is the original present Zamasu, a former North Kai and Supreme Kai apprentice.

After stealing Goku’s body and gaining his power and abilities, Zamasu’s skills and power significantly increased. As a Super Saiyan, Black was able to fight on par with Vegeta until the prince used his full Super Saiyan 2 power, and gradually overwhelmed him.

After healing, Black finally surpassed Super Saiyan God and evolved into Super Saiyan Rose, which is pretty much equal to the Super Saiyan Blue version of the main world’s Goku. In fact, he was so powerful that Goku and Vegeta had to fuse to defeat him.

In accordance with his powers, he deserves his position as the 6th strongest Saiyan.

5. Kefla

Kefla is the fusion of Kale and Caulifla. When they trained under Goku, they achieved Super Saiyan powers in record time and formed a fusion – Kefla.

Since she is a fusion of two Super Saiyans, Kefla is forever stuck in her Super Saiyan state. After adjusting to her power, she quickly became one of the most powerful warriors in the Tournament of Power.

When transforming into a Super Saiyan, her power was enough to force Goku to go Super Saiyan Blue, Whis noted her power to be terrifying. She ranks alongside Vegito, Fused Zamasu, and Gogeta as one of the four most powerful fusions in the franchise.

Her power and feats earn her the position of the fifth strongest Saiyan.

4. Cumber

Cumber is an ancient Saiyan who is a slave of Fu on the Prison Planet and one of the strongest warriors in the entire multiverse.

Even while wearing his restraints, he was able to unleash massive amounts of Ki. After removing his restraints, he was capable of fighting against Vegito Blue.

Later on, Super Saiyan 3 Cumber and Super Saiyan Blue Goku proceeded to fight each other evenly. It took Goku powering up to Ultra Instinct Goku to defeat him finally.

After looking at his powers, Cumber is placed in the fourth position.

3. Broly

Broly remains one of the most powerful villains Goku and Vegeta ever faced to date.

In Legendary Super Saiyan form, Broly is stronger than Goku and Gohan in their Super Saiyan forms, Future Trunks and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Second Grade forms, and the Super Namekian Piccolo. This is seen when he easily defeats all five of them.

He even purposely takes a point-blank Super Kamehameha from Super Saiyan Goku, and not only emerges completely unscathed but mocks the attack.  It is also implied that his Legendary Super Saiyan form is stronger than Gohan’s Super Saiyan 2 form.

Vegeta stated that Broly is one of the most powerful Saiyans in history, and rightfully so. In accordance with this statement, Broly is ranked as the third strongest Saiyan.

2. Son Goku

Son Goku is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball Super and one of the strongest characters in the entire Dragon Ball universe. When it comes to the Saiyans’ powers, there have been many who have challenged Goku, but he continues to get more powerful over time and always ends up winning.

While in the anime, Goku was outmatched by Kefla and Jiren and stood no chance against Jiren, in the manga, Goku pushed his body well-beyond the normal limits of Perfected Super Saiyan Blue to utilize the Kaio-ken.

He used this increase in power to overwhelm Jiren momentarily.

Goku eventually gained Ultra Instinct Sign, which allowed him to hold his own against Jiren. In this state, Goku’s ki shook the entire Null Realm, a realm of infinite size.

Goku attains Mastered UI

Eventually, Goku mastered Ultra Instinct and quickly overpowered and almost eliminated Jiren.

While Goku’s Ultra Instinct is incredibly powerful, his lack of training makes him quickly lose stamina and drop back to the base form.

It is because of this exact reason that he is not positioned in the first place. However, with further training, Goku might be the most powerful Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball history.

1. Prince Vegeta

Vegeta, also known as Prince Vegeta, is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race and one of the notable characters of the Dragon Ball series. Vegeta is the strongest saiyan in all of Dragon Ball Super with Super Saiyan Blue Evolution and Spirit Fission.

In the anime, as a Super Saiyan Blue, he was able to clash with Top and even land an attack on Jiren, shocking Jiren himself.

When facing Moro, while Vegeta is initially overwhelmed by his dark magic, he quickly overcomes it with Super Saiyan God. However, after powering down, Moro absorbs the bulk of his energy and easily defeats Vegeta.

After recovering and facing Moro again, Vegeta still confidently fought him. While his Super Saiyan God SS Evolved form had no effect of Moro at first, Vegeta was discreetly using Forced Spirit Fission and purging all the stolen life energy Moro had absorbed.

Who is the weakest Saiyan?

While there are not many Saiyans in the series aside from base characters, they’re all pretty strong. After the rising power levels in Dragon Ball Super, there are some who are relatively weaker. One of the weakest Saiyans in Dragon Ball Universe is Cabba.

Unlike other Saiyans, he came from Universe 6.  While he proved his mettle by reaching the Super Saiyan 2, he fell easily to Frieza, who had taken on his Golden form. His power does not measure up to the other Saiyans.

Another Saiyan similar to Cabba in power is Caulifa. Caulifla is a Saiyan from Universe 6 and a member of Team Universe 6 who participates in Zeno’s Tournament of Power.

While she is extremely powerful after fusing with Kale, her individual prowess falls a bit short.
