The God of High School Webtoon was recently adapted into an anime, and people just can’t get enough of it.

As far as we’ve seen, the original story is wonderfully adapted with a few tweaks here and there. The fight scenes are also beautifully animated, and the power can be felt through the screen!

The anime is rapidly picking up its pace, and possible antagonists have already been introduced. Who are these people? What is their goal?

For Anime watchers who cannot wait for seven or more days to get answers, and for Webtoon readers who would like to refresh their memory, I have listed down what we know about them.

1. Quick Answer

The mysterious group of people that appeared in episode three of “God of High School” are members of an organization called Nox. They seem to serve the will of “God” and are currently searching for a “Key” to realize their wish.

It appears that Nox and the “God of High School” organizer, Mujin Park, are antagonistic towards each other.

2. Episode 3 Recap

Episode 3 of “God of High School” titled “Wisdom/Kingdom” started within a dark church. The later scenes introduced us to some mysterious people who planned to set off in search of something.

Back to the tournament, we saw Yoo Mira’s battle against Mah Miseon, Han Daewi’s match against Baek Seungchul, and finally, Jin Mori’s fight against an administrator.

3. Who Are The Hooded Figures in Ep 3?

The hooded figures introduced at the beginning of episode 3, are members of a cult or organization called Nox. They follow the will of God and are searching for a “Key” in order to fulfill their wishes.

The hooded figures are Bishop Sang Mandeok, Bishop Lee Sujin, and Apostle Drake McDonald.

4. What is the Key?

A key is a very powerful type of Charyeok that can seal and awaken abilities in humans and gods alike. It is described to be an existence that will drag the gods from heaven. The Keys are born out of intense hatred and wrath.

Both Mujin Park and Nox’s goal is to find these Keys, though their reasons behind it differ. There are only two known Keys out of which one is the Nine-Tails Guardian, i.e., the Charyeok of Park Il-Pyo, and the other is Pandora, the Chareok of Lee Sujin.

5. What is Nox’s goal?

Nox is a mysterious organization that apparently serves the will of “God” In truth, their main goal is to collect bio-energy for the Gods in order to extend their lives. They plan to accomplish this by conquering the entire world.

It is Nox who manipulated and managed things in the Human and Sage world. Their immediate goal is to wipe out all Charyeok users as they are a threat to them. Within Nox itself, there is a separate faction that is led by Sang Manduk whose goal is to wipe out humanity itself.

6. Who is the Leader of Nox?

Nox is lead by the “King.He is the strongest person in the organization and the highest power. His will can only be overwritten by the God’s themselves. Park Mujin himself stated that theKing” is an unfathomable being with great strength.

7. Who are the Bishops in Nox?

After the King, Bishops are the strongest people in Nox. They possess incredible power within the organization, and no one can oppose them other than the leader.

The strongest Bishop is powerful enough to contend with the copy of the Monkey King himself. The main factor that distinguishes the Bishops from other members is that only they are allowed to use ‘God’s power’.

Known Bishops are Sang Manduk, Lee Sujin, Ultio R, Xiao Chen, Romario, and Byron. Though, most of them are either dead or have defected.

8. Who are the Apostles in Nox?

The Apostles are lowest in Nox’s hierarchy. They blindly obey the higher-ups in what they think is following the “will” of God. They have not yet been seen using Charyeok.

There is another faction within the Apostles called the Morning Crows. Members of this faction are transplanted with Original Greed and are strong enough to fight against Bishops.

The God of High School or GOH is a South Korean webtoon written by Yongje Park. God of HighSchool was first posted on Naver Webtoon on 8 April 2011; it was one of the first webtoons to receive an English translation at the launch of Line Webtoon app and website in July 2014.
