In the recent episode of the Plunderer Anime series, Lynn and other’s lives are in danger after Taketora sees a Ballot drop from Hina’s bag.

Taketora is angered after seeing the Ballot because it signifies the destruction of Althea that they, the Red Barons, worked hard to create. What exactly the Ballots signify as well as the origin behind them is explained in the article below.

3. What is the function of a Ballot?

Ballots can be used for the approval of a new law, which is known as ‘Althing’. Althing can also grant one wish once a person has collected all seven Ballots. A bizarre side effect of this results in people who’ve received the majority votes from Althing to stop aging.

Althing is the noblest law in the world and nobody is allowed to go against its rules. If the soldiers stand against the Althing, they will receive the Death Penalty.

Other than the ‘voting ability’ to place new ‘laws’ on the world around it, the Original Ballots could also be used to access and channel the energies of the ‘Althing’ by a compatible user when they hold one.

A Ballot Replica simply referred to as Ballot, is a replica of the Ballot created as the main weapons mainly used by the Red Barons and Ballot Holders, which amplifies the user’s power and gives them a special ability. Ballot Replica will only activate once the user sets their count and repeats it by saying ‘Count Authentication’.

Technically, only Barons and high-rank soldiers (Lieutenant and above) are allowed to use Ballot Replica. So any non-soldiers who own a Ballot Replica or one of the Original Ballots will be considered a criminal and receive the Death Penalty.

Ballot Count is a life system that keeps people alive in Althea, it could define any number related to their life. Count could also lead them to the Abyss when it has dropped to zero.

It can also define as battle power for anyone who owns a Ballot, although this does not include original Ballots which was used for voting.

Anyone who has a higher count has the authority to order anyone with lower counts to do anything they desire. People with lower counts can’t betray people with a higher count’s order. If anyone with a lower count doesn’t want to follow an order, they can challenge other people to battle.

5. What is a Ballot Holder?

A Ballot holder is someone who can use the ballot counts. If a Ballot Holder owns or gets a hold of more than 4 Ballots, then they can do anything, even changing the very laws of nature is not impossible.
