Valheim, while being a viral hit, has not seen much extra content released for it even though developers Iron Gate AB revealed plans for the same in February.
With regards to details about Valheim’s first DLC, Hearth and Home, Iron Gate have gone on to reveal a few details but, fair warning, they are frustratingly mysterious.
The reveal comes in the form of two images on the game’s Steam page, the first of them being this one which includes a pair of shoes and possibly a throne:
We’ve always theorised that Hearth and Home will expand on the building and crafting aspects of the game. So after you’re done going “What are thoooseee??!!” you should try to figure out what the shoes could mean. Maybe the patch will bring more customization options to make your Viking warrior more fashionable.
The second image shows some sort of stream along with a possible waterfall in the top-right corner:
According to Iron Gate, this is a pretty big part of the update, with many new items relating to it. Looking at the image, one could make a bunch of guesses about its contents but none can be confirmed until Iron Gate chooses to confirm them.
Is it a stream? Or a trench? Are there potatoes growing on the hill in the right which could mean more farming? Who knows because Iron Gate offers nothing specific.
Along with revealing some sparse details about the DLC, the developers also revealed that they’re working on graphical updates for the trolls, The next patch will make the trolls look more menacing than usual with dirty green nails, unkempt hay-like hair, and an extra burly physique.
The team also added that they’re working on updating the second and third bosses but neglected to reveal much about the same.
Enlightening details revealed or not, it’s good to know that the raging pandemic has not stopped Iron Gate from working on improvements for Valheim. At the moment, the company seems to have set its sights on expansion as it looks for larger offices to work out of, so one can expect bigger updates to come for the game in the near future.
