Thankfully, while the anime is still ways away from ending, the web novel has already concluded, giving us an in-depth view of Rimuru’s true powers and future potential. Can a slime become a God? Let’s find out!

1. What Are Rimuru’s True Powers?

Rimuru’s true power is his ability to absorb powers from his opponents, dissolve, and regenerate. This ability allowed him to evolve at an absurdly fast pace and obtain all the skills in the world of TenSura.

When Rimuru first arrived in this world as a slime, he received Divine Protection of a Storm Crest by his best friend, True Dragon Veldora. This allowed him to shield himself by using a fraction of the Storm’s power.

In the beginning, his instrument skill was called Predator, which allowed him to engulf his opponents and absorb their powers.

Another useful ability that Rimuru later received was the use of Great Sage — an AI that ran logical computations and assists Rimuru in battle.

He developed Raphael — Lord of Wisdom through Great Sage, which gave him access to any knowledge in the world provided it wasn’t concealed.

Soon after, he acquired Beelzebub, Lord of Gluttony, which provided him with the ability to engulf, store, and mimic its target while negating its harmful effects.

At the gist of it, Rimuru has the ability to learn as many skills as possible, thanks to his original power. As of now, in the anime, Rimuru is strong enough to spar with Milim and other Demon Lords.

2. Will Rimuru Become Stronger?

SPOILERS AHEAD! This page contains spoilers from That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime.

Rimuru will become stronger in TenSura after transforming into a demon slime and acquiring powers such as Infinite Regeneration, Multilayer Barrier, Universal Detect, and so forth.

He will further rise to an unfathomable level after devouring the powers of Veldora and becoming a True Dragon.

The second season of TenSura anime that will animate the events starting from volume 5 of the novel will show Rimuru becoming a demon slime.

After doing so, his powers will drastically increase, giving him a variety of skills such as telepathy, paralyzing breath, a keen sense of smell, shapeshifting, and more.

As he keeps fighting stronger enemies, Rimuru will continue absorbing their abilities and learning more and more skills.

In the Great War Arc, after engulfing and analyzing the powers of his best friend Veldora in his fight against Velgrynd, Rimuru will acquire the powers of a dragon and the ability called Storm Dragon.

This magic gives him access to powerful spells such as Dark Lightning, Death-Calling Wind, and Storm of Destruction, each more devastating than the other.

In his concluding fight against Yuuki, Rimuru gains the ability to travel across Space-Time at will and returns to the battle to devour his powers and kill him.

By the end of the series, Rimuru has potentially all the skills available in the world of TenSura.

3. Does Rimuru Become A God?

Rimuru becomes a God by the end of TenSura thanks to his Ultimate Skill “Void God Azatoth” and Ciel. He also surpasses Veldanava and takes his position as the strongest character in the series.

Using his newfound space-time ability, Rimuru travels back in time to the moment he died on Earth and saves his human self by putting a small part of his soul in that body.

Furthermore, Rimuru also saves the planet from destruction and becomes a legendary figure hailed as God.

4. Is Rimuru Evil?

Rimuru is not evil in TenSura and does not cause harm to others unless provoked.

After reaching Godhood and ruling over the world, all Rimuru wants to do his have fun with his friends; however, he won’t hesitate to kill anyone who causes chaos under his rule.

After becoming the strongest being in the world and defeating Veldanava, Rimuru automatically becomes the ruler of the world. He rules the world, not with a desire to conquer, but to make it a better and just place.

Rimuru has an iron fist when it comes to dealing with the villainous characters but mostly just plays video games and hangs out with his friends and subordinates.

During this journey to the top, Rimuru fights countless wars and kills multitudes of people. He is even guilty of torturing the rebel kingdom’s spies for information, but only if their actions warrant it.

In the end, Rimuru cannot be considered evil as his actions are not motivated by greed and hunger for power, but by the desire to live a quiet and exciting life in an Isekai.
