Good story and animation know no bounds, and since Soul Land excels in both, fans are inevitably requesting more of the series from the original creator.

Douluo Dalu or Soul Land, has turned the heads of many in recent years, making its presence felt and respected worldwide.

Initially starting as a Chinese light novel by the novelist Tang Jia San Shao, Soul Land now has its own manhua and anime that are receiving praises from its fans due to their story and originality.

The release order of donghua is the preferred way to watch it as it is also the chronological way to enjoy the brilliant 3d animation.

Also, the shown chronological order for reading the novels and the manhua is the correct order to enjoy Soul Land, as it was initially intended.

For a beginner, I would always recommend starting with the novels and then move on to the donghua. The manhua can be treated as an optional, and while they are a nice addition to the franchise, I recommend reading them after the novels because the main storyline changes quite a bit.

It’s all up to you whether you choose to watch the donghua first or read the novels and manhua first, everything follows the original plot more or less, and you will miss nothing.

About Soul Land

Soul Land also known as Douluo Dalu is an adaptation of the Chinese light novel of the same title, written by Tang Jia San Shao.

Tang San is one of Tang Sect martial art clan’s most prestigious disciples and peerless in the use of hidden weapons. With high expectations, the sect’s elders believe his future will be bright; yet Tang chooses to forsake this life at the cost of obtaining the sect’s forbidden lore—an action punishable by death.

Tang, now content with his ascension of knowledge, sees no reason to keep on living and jumps from Hell’s Peak, but little did he know that that would not be the end of his existence.
