Anime is one of the most diverse forms of entertainment ever. It has everything, even the most underrated or unpopular genres like visual kei. And if you’re a fan, then Visual Prison is just the anime for you!
For those who don’t know, visual kei is a subgenre of J-pop. It involves goth aesthetics, androgynous appearing musicians, balladic music, and everything along those lines.
The upcoming original anime Visual Prison revealed a new key visual for the show. It is set to premiere in October 2021.

The characters look aesthetically pleasing, the work done on costumes and their look is just *chef’s kiss*.
Aniplex’s A1 Pictures and Noriyasu Agematsu’s collaboration anime is different not only for the genre it is centered around but also its storyline.
A major twist in this anime is that the musicians in the bands are vampires. They gather under the sacred red moon every year to have a visual kei competition.
The franchise also revealed a character introduction PV for the anime back in March 2021.
I am looking forward to this anime to know more about visual kei and also for aesthetics.
I just know for sure that this upcoming anime is going to be as amazing as its uniqueness!!
About Visual Prison
Visual Prison is an original anime by Noriyasu Agematsu and A-1 Pictures. The anime heavily depends on the visual kei subgenre of Japanese rock.
Visual Prison is an annual event in Harajuku where vampires perform the visual kei type of music. Ange Yuki, an orphan, stumbles across the Event one day and encounters his favorite artist.
The bands and music strike a chord deep within him.
