TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You is the romance anime every weeb dreams of. Ever since it started broadcasting, fans have been going crazy over the endearing relationship between Nasa and Tsukasa.
Their meeting wasn’t just accidental but was literally because of a road accident that they got involved in. What Nasa thought were his final moments was just the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
The show became immensely popular due to its peculiar yet sweet story mixed with your typical anime comedy. The funniest part was Nasa becoming so enchanted by Tsukasa that he agreed to a marriage with her, a complete stranger, without any hesitation.
Now due to its popularity, fans have been asking for more content which the franchise delivered.
Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2021 teased the first 15-minutes of the upcoming TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You ~SNS~ OVA. The OVA will be released on August 18, 2021.
The streaming of the OVA was bundled with a short session with the main cast Junya Enoki and Akari Kitō, who voices Nasa and Tsukasa, respectively.
The wholesome moments between the Nasa and Tsukasa had everyone gushing over the preview.
Also, this OVA showed the couple being apart for the first time in the show. Nasa had to go out for some work while Tsukasa stayed back. Meanwhile, Tsukasa found herself missing her husband more than she would admit.
Thanks to her new phone gifted by Nasa, Tsukasa was able to text him. She felt happy that even though they’re apart physically, they have each other in their hearts.
The short preview also showed a much explicit scene of the couple taking their relationship to the next level. Contrary to what you’d expect, fans were melted at this and were happy that their relationship is developing.
The sneak peek had me anticipate the OVA even more, and I honestly can’t wait for it to release.
About TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You
TONIKAWA (Tonikaku Kawaii) is the anime adaptation of the Fly Me To The Moon manga by Kenjiro Hata. It was first launched on February 14, 2018, in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. As of December 2022, twenty-two volumes have been published.
It is about Nasa, who meets a cute girl named Tsukasa on the day of his high school entrance exams. Nasa falls head over heels for her and confesses to her, but Tsukasa says that she will date him only after they get married.
She appears in Nasa’s life on his 18th birthday to get married and thus begins their sweet married life.
