Based on the fantasy manga series by Kagiji Kumanomata, Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle, the anime tells the story of Princess Syalis and her quest to fall asleep while being captured by the Demon King.
The manga published in 2016 saw a surge of popularity upon release and paved the way for a 12 episode anime adaptation broadcasted in October of 2020.

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle anime’s official website released a notice regarding the broadcasting time and date changes on TV Tokyo.
The notice announced TV Tokyo will hold a special broadcast and air the remaining two episodes 11 and 12 of the Sleepy Princess anime back to back. The broadcast will be held on December 21st from 26:00 and run till 27:00 screening both episodes.
The anime tells the story of Princess Syalis who gets kidnapped by the Demon King.
The princess is bored to death while waiting for her knight in shining armor so she decides to catch a quick nap to get rid of her boredom, but her insomnia gets the best of her and she is unable to catch a wink of sleep.
Follow Syalis as she tries to get comfortable while being held hostage and sleep while fighting her insomnia.
Episode 11 might reveal if the Princess indeed could overcome her weakness and sleep like she wanted to and we can’t wait for TV Tokyo’s special broadcast.
