‘Tokyo Revengers’ Confirms January Premiere of Season 2: Christmas Conflict

Season 1 of Tokyo Revengers really did us dirty with how Takemichi and Chifuyu were held at gunpoint in the final episode. After the second season’s announcement, I can cling to the hope of Takemichi being alive.

The upcoming season has much to explain. Why did Kisaki call Takemichi his hero? How were they betrayed? The biggest question of them all is, how will Takemichi restart his journey from scratch?

To answer all your queries, season 2 of Tokyo Revengers, which will cover the Christmas Showdown arc, will be released in January 2023. Crunchyroll might stream it once again for international fans.

Check out all the main characters who will be involved in the upcoming arc, as the new promotional video leaves no stone unturned to make these teenagers look intimidating.

In season 2, Takemichi will travel back in time once again to stop a battle between Tokyo Manji and the Black Dragon gang. Toman member Hakkai Shiba and his brother, who is in the rival gang, are the sources of the distress. Stopping this conflict won’t be an easy task.

Aside from all the serious talks, can I just say I’m glad to have Chifuyu back? Even Mikey and Draken were in the trailer, and there’s only so much I can do to not scream in joy.

While all the previous cast members will reprise their roles in season 2, the same cannot be said about Draken’s voice actor. Masaya Fukunushi will replace Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Draken’s cast in all upcoming adaptations of the series from July onward. Fukunishi has previously voiced Ryū from Megalobox 2.

Now that you know that Takemichi will be back with the whole of Toman once again, you can finally let go of your breath. The perks of time traveling are truly remarkable. Let’s just hope Takemichi doesn’t throw away this next chance too.

About Tokyo Revengers

Tokyo Revengers is a manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on March 1, 2017, and ended its run in November 2022. It is compiled into 31 tankobon volumes.

The story revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, who learned that Tokyo Manji Gang had killed his only ex-girlfriend from back in middle school. After learning about the incident, Takemichi was pushed from the railway platform.

Landing on the tracks, he closed his eyes, accepting his death, but when he opened his eyes, he had time-leaped 12 years into the past.
