But what if you were going through the lowest of the lows of your life and one day you hear the news of your ex-girlfriend being murdered by a group of vicious criminals?

Suffering through this situation, and as Takemichi reflects back on his life choices, he finds himself travelling back and forth through time. With this chance given to rewrite the future, Takemichi is resolved to change the story of his life and save his ex-girlfriend, Hinata, from her tragic fate.

Following the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, Ken Wakui’s manga, Tokyo Revengers, is finally receiving an anime adaption, and the series is set to premiere on April 10, 2021.

Additional cast and the artist performing the ending theme for the anime has been announced.

The ending theme song is going to be “Breathe here” and will be performed by eill, an up-and-coming singer-songwriter.

The main cast of the series had already been revealed previously, and few new members of the Tokyo Manji Gang have been announced recently. The new faces of the gang are as follows:

If you like shows wherein you are hand fed pieces of puzzles, but they all circle back as a part of a mystery in the bigger picture; then Tokyo Revengers is the perfect pick for you.

It is the perfect blend of Steins;Gate and Ikebukuro West Gate Park, along with the ‘never give up’ attitude of the protagonist that will keep you hooked to the series.

I am definitely hyped up for the premiere of this anime and the epic fights that the series has in store for us. Once again, I ask you, how far will you go for love?

(Sorry father, for I have simped!)

The story revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, who learned that Tokyo Manji Gang had killed his only ex-girlfriend from back in middle school. After learning about the incident, Takemichi was pushed from the railway platform.

Landing on the tracks, he closed his eyes, accepting his death, but when he opened his eyes, he had time-leaped 12 years into the past.

Finding that he had traveled back to a time when he was dating Hinata Tachibana, he decides to infiltrate the Tokyo Manji Gang and climb the ranks to rewrite the future and prevent Hinata’s death.
