Immortal Tatsu Set to Return in ‘Gokushufudō’ Season 2 in 2023

As if season 1 of the ‘Gokushufudō’ anime wasn’t disappointing enough, Netflix has just announced that it has been renewed for a second season.

‘The Way of the Househusband’ is one of the most wonderful comedy manga, and fans had high hopes when it received an anime adaptation last year. Of course, those hopes were dashed to the ground when the anime actually aired, and we realized that it’s more like a manga with moving panels.

Netflix will produce a second season of ‘The Way of the Househusband’, which is scheduled for a January 2023 release. The staff and cast members will reprise their roles from the first season.

Season 1 of ‘Gokushufudō’ received ten episodes, and the second one might receive the same amount. Netflix will stream the second season.

Of course, the new episodes will bring some new characters, but remember that they will still resemble the old character design trope. Fans are probably praying that season 2 is an improvement upon its previous installation, but I doubt how far that will happen.

Tatsu is a lovable character, and so is everyone he interacts with. It is amazing how the series shows people from a mafia background as such adorable dorks.

The manga is popular among otakus and has even received a live-action series and a movie. One can only hope that it receives a proper anime adaptation sometime soon.

About The Way Of the Househusband

The Way of the Househusband is a comedy manga by Kousuke Onno. It was first serialized in February 2018 by Shinchosha and is currently ongoing. It was adapted into a Netflix anime series in 2021.

Immortal Tatsu is a retired yakuza who has chosen the life of a househusband over that of a gangster. He spotlessly finishes all household chores to support his wife, Miku.

His appearance is in stark contrast to his love for cute bentos and dogs. His run-ins with other yakuza often turn out to be a hilarious situation.
