It was revealed in the October issue of the Monthly Comp Ace magazine that The Saga of Tanya the Evil manga will begin its second part on 26th September.

The manga’s first part ended recently after being serialized for four years since 2016.

The manga’s first part corresponded to the first season of The Saga of Tanya the Evil anime. The anime adaptation’s first season ended in March 2017.

Although no official announcements have been made yet, the anime’s second season might be released in late 2020 or early 2021.

The manga has been adapted from the light novel series by the same name, written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by Shinobu Shinotsuki.

The series also received an anime film adaptation in February 2019 by studio NUT. Both the anime and the film are licensed by Crunchyroll for North America.

Expected plot of the Manga’s second part

Tanya’s atheism will be challenged in the next part as she will face a foe who has a strong faith in God. Mary Sioux had lost her family in a war, which was apparently the fault of Tanya.

A conflict between Mary and Tanya will be seen in the next part. Tanya facing God or the “Being X” itself.

About The Saga of Tanya the Evil

The Saga of Tanya the Evil is a Japanese light novel series written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by Shinobu Shinotsuki. 

A manga adaptation with art by Chika Tōjō began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine from April 26, 2016.

The plot revolves around a guy who doesn’t believe in the concept of God and the afterlife at all.

There is a mysterious Being X, who calls himself God, plans on punishing this man for his skepticism. It results in his rebirth in the body of a girl, Tanya Degurechaff.

The story continues in the world similar to WW-I Europe, Tanya enlists the military service into the Empire’s Mages Division.

She becomes fierce and dominates the inferior soldiers and brutally punishes those who dared to disobey. She gets the nickname “Devil of the Rhine.”
