The Idolm@ster: Million Live! TV Anime Adaptation Announced

The Idolm@ster franchise began as a rhythm video game and a raising simulator that revolves around raising a Top Idol and experiencing their lives.

The franchise began with an arcade game titled The Idolmaster (video game) in 2005 and has released multiple titles ever since.

The Idolm@ster franchise also has multiple TV anime adaptations starting from an OVA titled “The Idolmaster Live For You!” in 2008 to its latest addition, “The Idolmaster SideM Wake Atte Mini!” spanning over 12 episodes in 2018.

The IDOLM@STER Million Live! Theatre Days announced on Saturday that it is being adapted into a live stream TV anime, commemorating the third anniversary of its smartphone game.

The announcement was followed by a tweet on Imas Tsushin’s official Twitter account featuring a promotional video to give fans a sneak peek into the show.

The footage teases fans with visuals from the show and reveals the character designs to build hype within its fanbase.

Shinya Watada, popularly known for the Aikatsu Stars! Film and Gundam Build Divers Re: RISE will direct the IDOLM@STER Million Live’s anime adaptation at Studio Shirogumi Inc. with Yoichi Kato overseeing the scripts.

The smartphone and browser game was launched by Namco Bandai Games in 2013 as a spinoff to the main The IDOLM@STER game series.

It features the 765 Pro characters of the original series and 37 new characters. It also allows players to manage their own idol production company and raise their idols’ skills.

It ended service in March 2018 after its successor TheIDOLM@STER Million Live! Theatre Days was launched on IOS and Android in June 2017.

Fans of the franchise can’t wait to experience the spinoff’s dazzling performances, cute idols and eye-catching dance sequences.
