Summer is upon us, and it brings with it its own joys. I’m not talking about the beach vacays or summer flings (which is barely possible now) but the many anime releases that accompany the season.

So why not chill in this summer heat while binging on the anime of your choice? Because this season does have a lot of genres to offer us.

Here we present you with a list of Summer Anime Release 2020:

1. Gibiate: Jul 8

A virus named Gibia has affected the world in 2030. Infected humans turn into different kinds of monsters.

Amongst this wasteland of humanity in Japan appears a samurai and a ninja from the Edo period who fight the monsters.

Along with a doctor who tries to find the cure for gibia, they face ceaseless attacks from monsters and outlaws.

2. Get Up! Get Live!: Jul 10

Aspiring young comedians gather at ‘SSS’ to make their dreams come true. They live together as interests clash, and rivalries are formed.

They overcome obstacles and learn from veterans to become the future entertainers of Japan.

3. Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! : Jul 10

Uzaki Hana, the upbeat kouhai of Sakurai Shinichi, doesn’t want to let him be at peace. Uzaki wants to hang out and have fun with him, and maybe persistency will lead to the starting of a cute relationship.

4. Monster Musume no Oisha-san: Jul 12

Monsters and humans coexist in the town of Lindworm. In this town, resides a certain Dr. Glenn. With his assistant Sapphee, he cures all kinds of monsters ranging from centaurs to mermaids.

What troubles will the graceful doctor face when faced with a case of stealing harpy eggs?

5. Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time: Jul 11

Peter Grill is the strongest man in the world, and his girlfriend is Luvilia. Luvilia believes in babies being delivered by storks, and thus Peter has had no success in progressing with their relation.

Peter is wanted by Ogres and Elves and other women to bear strong children. How will Peter stay loyal and avoid temptation?

6. Re: Zero 2nd season: Jul 11

The story picks up from the ending of the 1st season. Subaru Natsuki is transported to an RPG style game world. Victory in this place is hard-earned, and Natsuki has to face monsters as well as himself. What will he do when his power catches the attention of the Witch of Greed?

7. Food Wars! The Fifth Plate: Jul 18

Yukihira Souma has achieved the first seat of the Totsuki Council. The invitation to ‘BLUE’, a world-class cooking competition arrives.

The contest this time is tougher with chefs from the dark side competing to take over the world’s cuisine.

8. The God Of Highschool: July(release date not revealed)

Jin Mori is a teen martial artist from Korea who participates in a martial arts tournament called “God Of Highschool”. Participants have been selected from all over South Korea. The stakes are high, but what exactly is the shady plan beneath all of this?
