Bullbuster TV Anime Is Set To Premiere in 2023

During a press release on November 18, the Bullbuster franchise announced that a television anime adaptation will premiere in 2023. The website revealed the main staff, cast, and a teaser visual.

The franchise is set to have a stage presentation at the Kitakyushu Pop Culture Festival event on November 27.

The anime’s main cast includes:

Asami Seto Arumi ikaidō
Yuki Takada Miyuki Shirogane
ShinchiroMiki Kōji Tajima
Shoyo Chiba Tetsurō Okino
Ken Uo Kintarō Kataoka
Taiten Kusunoki Ginnosuke Mutō

The anime’s plot revolves around a young engineer named Tetsurō Okino  who has developed a new robot named “Bullbuster.” Okino is transferred to a vermin extermination company called Hato Industries with the new robot.

The company and its president Kōji Tajima are up against a mysterious lifeform named “Kyojū.” As a small company that constantly has to deal with budget cuts, it will be a difficult task for them to successfully exterminate the Kyoju.  

The staff for the anime includes Hiroyuki Nakao as director and series composer with Takahisa Katagiri as character designer and chief animation director. Junji Okubo will serve as the mechanical designer. The anime is being produced by Studio Nut.

The Bullbuster project was originally a concept for a book distributed at the COMITIA convention in 2017. Nakao began writing the novel on the Kakuyomu website in October 2018. Kadokawa published the first volume in December 2018 and the second and latest volume in September 2019, featuring illustrations by Kubonouchi.

Bullbuster is a robot-hero anime that is part of a multi-media project. The anime is set to release in 2023 and is being produced by Studio Nut.

The anime follows a young engineer named Tetsurō Okino who has developed a new robot named “Bullbuster.” The engineer is transferred to a small company named Hato industries where he has to help them exterminate vermin with the help of his invention.

Hato is a small company dealing with powerful giant beasts and economic woes, including pensions, fuel costs, labor costs, and bullet wastage. Will they be able to navigate their way through the reality of cost and the duty to exterminate the beasts?
