Strongest Forms of Majin Buu – Ranked!

Majin Buu is undoubtedly one of the strongest and best antagonists in the Dragon Ball Franchise, with each of its forms surpassing the former.

What first appeared as a squishy-looking pink kid soon destroyed Earth itself and killed billions of people.

Later, he took on a more chubby appearance and had childish powers such as a chocolate beam.

Once again, however, we witnessed him using it to convert people, and even his other form into chocolate and eating them.

His other forms included Good Buu and Evil Buu, with the former once again dividing into two and birthing an entire population of pink Buu babies.

As the series progressed, he started incarnating into even more dangerous forms such as Super Buu, evolving into Buuhan.

All of these forms have led to fans debating about the strongest one. The fandom is divided into two, with one supporting the original Mujin Buu, Kid Buu, and the other rallying behind Buuhan.

Buuhan or the form Super Buu took on after absorbing Ultimate/Mystic Gohan is the strongest Majin Buu so far. This form contains the latent potential of Gohan, Kid Buu, and the godly prowess of South Supreme Kai. Even Vegeto was not enough to defeat him Buuhan.

Before we lay down facts and statements proving the answer above, let us take a look at Mujin Buu’s origin, and each and every form of him powerful enough to take note of.

1. Who is Majin Buu?

Majin Buu’s original form was Kid Buu, and he existed since Time Immemorial while periodically entering a period of hibernation and rampage.

During both these periods, he absorbed the evil elements of humanity and became more violent, ruthless, and impulsive.

The evil wizard Bibidi managed to find a way to wake him up from his slumber, after which Majin Buu proceeded to kill Bibidi’s sworn enemies, the West Supreme Kai and North Supreme Kai.

He then absorbed the South Supreme Kai and later, Grand Supreme Kai, resulting in the childlike fat Majin Buu.

Due to the Grand Supreme Kai’s soul’s innocence, this Buu was less evil and calm, which allowed Bibidi to finally seal him.

However, he was again resurrected 5 million years later on Earth by Bibidi’s doppelganger, Babidi.

After Babidi resurrected fat Buu, he started the cycle of many more rampages where he took various forms, each different than the other.

Below, I have ranked the strongest forms of Majin Buu based on their overall power.

6. Good Buu

Good Buu was formed after Innocent Buu used fission to split into good and evil halves.

He is shown to be capable of holding off Kid Buu for an extended period and even faring better than Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta did.

After Good Buu unlocks the Grand Supreme Kai’s power within him, he becomes capable of overwhelming even Moro.

While he does not stand a chance against the latter now, there is no one doubting his great power and strength.

However, after being torn apart from Innocent Buu, he’s lost the destructive power and killer instincts that went over to the evil side.

Due to this, he is weaker than almost every Buu and is placed last on this list.

5. Fat Buu

Kid Buu transformed into Fat Buu after absorbing the South Supreme Kai. Despite his deceiving looks, Fat Buu is considered to be an extremely dangerous character; however, it is mainly due to his absorption powers.

His fighting abilities have toned down by a lot in this form, and his signature move is a chocolate beam (not so terrifying now, is he?).

Furthermore, due to his absorption of the Kai, Fat Buu gained a childish mind, which made him susceptible to manipulation and restrained his power.

All of this resulted in him being sealed away by Bibidi once, and even Goku claiming that he could defeat him if needed.

4. Evil Buu

Evil Buu was a tall, thin, gray, skeletal creature that appeared after Majin Buu dispelled the evil from his body. Due to this, Evil Buu became the embodiment of Buu’s full wrath.

He also got the majority of Innocent Buu’s power, making him much stronger than Good Buu.

Due to consisting of only Buu’s darker side, he had one of the strongest killer instincts and resembled Kid Buu in terms of power.

3. Super Buu

After Evil Buu defeated and consumed Good Buu in a chocolate form, he transformed into Super Boo.

In this form, he had tremendously more power and increased mental capacity than the previous forms.

However, he retained Evil Buu’s little patience, impulsiveness, and fits of rage, leading him to even rip through dimensional walls if angered.

This made him one of the most dangerous Buu incarnations and even threatened Goku at one point.

However, he was at a great disadvantage against Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks and stood no chance against Ultimate Gohan and was easily beaten down.

2. Kid Buu

Kid Buu is the original form of Majin Buu, who is irrational and impulsive enough to destroy Earth even at the cost of his own body.

He’s shown to be extremely evil and free of restraint, making him the most dangerous form of Mujin Buu seen yet.

He is childlike, yet terrifying as he is seen laughing hysterically at his destruction of worlds. With nothing to hold him back, he rampages freely, destroying anything and everything that comes to mind.

Vegeta even admitted that Kid Boo was far stronger than he ever imagined.

Kid Buu even easily defeated Goku, and it took Dende using her wish to restore Goku to full power to turn Super Saiyan and obliterate Kid Buu with the Spirit Bomb.

1. Buuhan

Majin Buu’s strongest form is Buuhan, as he has Gotenks’ techniques, the intellect of Piccolo, and the raw power of Ultimate Gohan.

Vegeta Refuses To Fuse With Goku And Rushes Buuhan

Gohan is stronger than SSj3 Gotenks, which makes Buuhan more dangerous and powerful than every Buu incarnation.

After succeeding in his goal of absorbing Gohan, he is able to take on Goku and Vegeta and easily overpower them.

In fact, to even stand a chance, both fuse together; however, even then, they end up getting absorbed by Buuhan.

3. About Dragon Ball Super

Dragon Ball Super came into serialization in June 2015, edited and illustrated by Akira Toriyama and his protege Toyotaru, respectively.

Dragon Ball Super takes the DB universe to another level by introducing the long asleep God of Destruction, Beerus.

Beerus initially decides to decimate Earth but postpones his plans when he discovers the fantastic food he had never eaten and hopes to fight Super Saiyajin God one day.
