We stepped into 2021, hoping that it will finally end the nightmare we faced in 2020. However, it seems the deadly COVID-19 pandemic is still vibrant.

The Wonder Festival Executive Committee announced that the event would be canceled due to the limits imposed by the central government.

The Japanese Government declared a new State of Emergency for Tokyo and the surrounding three prefectures of Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa.

There is a rapid rise in infections in the Greater Tokyo Area, and Wonder Festival is held just outside Tokyo in Chiba.

The event was scheduled to be held on February 7, 2021, at Makuhari Messe. New details were supposed to be revealed on January 15.

The event is known for attracting a huge number of spectators for its garage kits and sculptures that usually represent anime and game characters.

Many other significant events, including the Final Fantasy XIV Artwork Exhibition & Hypnosis Mic Division Rap Battle 6th Live, have also been delayed.

We all are looking forward to the next Wonder Festival in Autumn 2021, hoping that nothing would steal away our happiness this time.
