It seems like the new animal-themed season isn’t the only thing Ninjala is bringing us next year. While games get an anime all the time, this was a pleasant surprise.

Nintendo Switch game Ninjala is getting an anime adaptation in January 2022.

GungHo Online Entertainment announced the series in their developer diary video, which features the character sheets for Lucy, Berecca, and Burton.

This anime will probably feature the characters’ adventures in the WNA Academy as the previous short series only introduced the main characters.

The game was developed by Soleil, whose parent company Wake Up Interactive was recently acquired by Tencent Holdings.

While it is not confirmed, the adaptation will probably be a series of shorts, considering the lack of an overarching story and the studio’s previous work.
