Doga Kobo Battles Covid

Just when you thought Covid had stopped affecting the anime industry, the virus surges again like a bad joke.
It was recently announced that Studio Doga Kobo would be temporarily closed till April 17.
Several staff members of the studio have contracted COVID-19. The virus had spread quite rapidly among them.
As a result, the studio is in a dilemma about the release date of the spring 2022 anime, Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie.
Given that the studio will remain closed, staff members are in quite a dilemma regarding the anime’s release schedule.
Although the anime’s episode 1 is still set to debut on April 9, we can’t be sure about the later episodes.
I was looking forward to Shikimori, but the safety of the creators comes first, and I don’t think anyone would mind a delay if lives are on the line.
