As we wait for the summer anime lineup, another forgotten anime giant has been creeping up on us. I’m talking about Slam Dunk, the legendary basketball series by Takehiko Inoue.
Some new theatrical posters for the latest Slam Dunk movie have been circulating among cinema chains in Japan.
The words “The First Slam Dunk” are featured on the posters, but it isn’t confirmed whether it’s the finalized title of the movie.
The upcoming movie might feature the legendary Shohoku vs. Kainan match.
The Shohoku team is now perfect with the super rookie, Rukawa Kaede, the gorilla captain, Akagi, the fastest player, Miyagi, and the king of 3-pointers, Mitsui.
The National Tournament isn’t finished yet, and Kainan still stands as a huge wall between them and their goals.
