Katsucon is the annual 3-day anime convention that offers MV screenings, artist alley, costume contests, & everything else that an otaku looks for.

The official website for Katsucon announced that the convention for the year 2021 was canceled due to the COVID19 pandemic situation.

This is the first time in 27 years that the event got canceled. Instead the staff aim to hold the convention again in 2022.

The staff & the convention center stated that they would be unable to hold the event up to their standards with the state COVID19 regulations.

They are refunding all the pre-reservation & hotel reservations. The refund will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation.

Katsucon 2020 was held from 14th to 16th February, just a few weeks before the pandemic situation became serious.
