Junji Ito has won two Eisner Awards this year in the Best Writer/Author category for his masterpieces: Remina and Venus in the Blind Spot.
It is about a scientist who discovers a new planet and names it after his daughter Remina.
The happiness is short-lived as the new planet turns out to be a giant monster-like creature that is hell-bent on destroying humanity.
Fans have congratulated him for his win, saying it was due for a long time.
