You might have thought that Kaido has gotten rid of this detestable shogun once and for all, but episode 1025 of One Piece proves otherwise.
The secret behind Orochi’s survival lies in the devil fruit he had consumed, Hebi Hebi no Mi.
Because of this fruit, Orochi can transform into a mythical snake-like beast called Yamata no Orochi.
As Orochi makes an appearance in episode 1025, you can see that he is seething in rage and putting fire to every corner of the castle.
Thus, Orochi is alive owing to the eight lives that have been granted to him by his devil fruit. He will not die unless he is beheaded or killed eight times in total.
This is not the last you have seen of Orochi. He is going to get eight lives worth of hammering soon. So let’s see how much longer this oppressor stays alive.
