Stage Play by Les Misérables’ Director

Studio Ghibli’s, Spirited Away, carries us off on an unbelievable journey. With a stage play adaptation in the works, the movie will sweep us off our feet.
Studio Ghibli announced that Spirited Away will receive its first stage play at TOHO’s Imperial Theatre in Tokyo from 22nd Feb-22nd March.
John Caird, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning stage director, will be in charge of Spirited Away’s stage play.
Spirited Away has a star-studded cast as Chihiro’s character will be played by both Kanna Hashimoto and Mone.
With a fantastic cast and director, the upcoming stage play is carrying our high hopes, and we hope that the play is just as ethereal as the anime film.
