Receives the Ninth Season

Yamishibai takes both well-known and not-so-known Japanese urban legends and puts them into the modern setting to give us nail-biting horror.

TV Tokyo recently announced that the ninth season of the Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories would debut on its broadcasting network from July 2021.

The new poster features a creepy old adult who is the narrator of the spine-chilling stories. He is surrounded by silhouettes of 12 Zodiac animals,

Though each anime season has a theme, it’s still too early to guess what it is.

The story follows a suspicious guy with a mask on his face who recites the most horrifying stories to the children.

A vertical animation will also debut in July for Japanese streaming sites such as Anime Beans.

With such a long history, the ninth season will surely hit its old fanbase.
