Given how some of the successful franchises are inspired by visual novels, it’s not surprising how these worlds are now closely associated with each other.
The official website for Heaven Burns Red has released a promotional video for the upcoming game.
While the game seems to retain the traditional cut scene and interaction style from visual novels, it also features some RPG mechanics like open-world movement and full-blown boss battles.
The story revolves around Ruka Kayamori, a Seraph Corps member, the only hope against a mysterious lifeform called Cancer.
As expected from a Jun Maeda game, the art style and character design are absolutely gorgeous.
While this is likely to be inaccessible for English speakers, for the time being, do not be surprised if we get an anime adaptation by next year.
