Reaffirms Shanks’ Powers & Haki

After being the rarest character to appear in the manga, Shanks resurfaces again in chapter 1055 of One Piece.
In chapter 1055, we are reminded of Shanks’ mastery of all three types of Haki and that his mere presence has the potential to kill those around him.
Shanks’ black lightning paralyzes Ryokugyu with pain as he realizes that the Red Hair Pirates are nearby.
We can see Shanks getting pretty angry about the Marines’ underhanded method and asking Ryokugyu if the ‘New Age’ frightens him enough to attack battle-worn saplings.
Luffy can recognize Shanks’ haki despite not having seen him in a long time.
The next chapter carried the hope of a Shanks-Luffy reunion, and I don’t think fans could be more impressed by any other event.
