The official website for the anime adaptation of Burning Kabaddi (Shakunetsu Kabaddi) announced that the anime would premiere in April 2021.
The second key visual was also released showing the protagonists, Tatsuya and Masato who will be voiced by Yuuma Uchida and Nobuhiko Okamoto.
TMS Entertainment will be animating the franchise with Kazuya Ichikawa directing the series and Yuuko Kakihara in charge of series composition.
The website had already released a short PV in July 2020. The PV portrays the difficulty of the game in a series of scenes made of the manga panels.
Burning Kabaddi manga by Hajime Musashino debuted in 2015. It was serialized in the Manga ONE app by Shogakukan.
Tatsuya Yoigoshi is invited to join the Kabaddi club in his school but he hates sports and thinks of it as a joke, that is until he witnesses a Kabaddi match.
