To put it simply, Blue Lock is essentially just a less tragic and gore-ish version of Squid Game.
The story starts with over 300 talented strikers from all over Japan, selected for the Blue Lock Project by the eccentric coach Jinpachi Ego.
They revealed the character PV for its protagonist, Yoichi Isagi. He wishes to clear doubts about himself and focus on his ultimate goal of becoming the greatest striker in the world.
The new visual is titled ‘Visual of Egoist,’ representing the theme of the Blue Lock Project and coach Jinpachi’s ideology. Jinpachi
Blue Lock stands out in the sports anime genre because it generates the idea of being selfish and thinking of yourself to get to the top.
Such anime are always a refreshing break from the good old self-sacrificing protagonists where the emotions become overwhelming. In short, I can’t wait for it to be released.
