Anime Premiere in January 2021

The Azur Lane franchise announced that their new short format television anime series “Azur Lane: Bisoku Zenshin!” will begin in January 2021.

The announcement of the release date on the franchise's official website was accompanied by a promotional video on the official Youtube channel.

Yostar Pictures is producing the work in collaboration with studio CANDY BOX and Yokohama Animation Lab is credited with production cooperation.

The opening theme is being performed by Emi Nitta and is titled “Longing for!”. Yui Sakakibara is performing another theme song titled “Mahiru-iro Siesta”.

The story of Azur Lane: Bisoku Zenshin! TV series will showcase the returning characters of Javelin, Ayanami, Laffey, Z23, Akashi, and Baltimore.

The Azur Lane anime is based on a 2017 game set in an alternate timeline of World War II where players engage in side-scrolling shooter gameplay.
