Spiderman Far From Home crosses 1 Billion Dollars

Spiderman Far From Home becomes the first Spider-man movie to gross $1 Billion worldwide and the third consecutive Marvel movie after Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel to cross this mark. The film released on 2 July and crossed the $1 Billion mark this past Thursday. 


The movie follows the events of Avengers: Endgame and is the twenty-third instalment in the MCU. Spiderman Far From Home got very positive reviews from the critics and was expected to cross $1 Billion mark.
So far, the movie has collected $333 million from the domestic box office and $672 million from the international box office.


Spiderman Far From Home is the sequel to Spiderman: Homecoming and follows the events of Avengers: Endgame. The Tom Holland starrer is the first Spider-man film to gross $1 Billion. Although due to the complex issues over Spider-Man and the deal between Marvel and Sony. The money will go to Sony’s coffers, thereby becoming the second movie for Sony to enter the $1 Billion club.

2019 for the MCU

Marvel Studios have dominated the box office this year. Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spiderman Far From Home are out, and each movie has crossed the $1 Billion mark. MCU has become one of the most profitable and liked franchises in the world and most likely will continue to dominate in the coming years too.
Avengers: Endgame recently became the highest-grossing movie of all times, and now Spider-Man far from home has done a solid job at the box office.

Where are we heading in the future?


The Marvel has already outlined the plans for its future which are pretty impressive. Kevin Feige presented phase four of MCU at SDCC 2019, and phase five is in development. With the Disney-Fox merger, the MCU will be bigger than ever, and we can expect more $1 Billion movies coming.
