Attack on Titan Sets Guinness Record Bar For ‘Largest Comic Book Published’

Remember when Isayama broke the record of killing off all our favorite characters? I think he should get recognized for that. But anyway, Attack on Titan manga actually did break a genuine record.

Shingeki no Kyojin staff started working on a special manga in March. They tried to create a giant-sized comic book that even titans could read and enjoy!!

However, Kodansha made only 100 copies, and the title would be recognized by Guinness only when all of them are sold.

Today, they finally broke the record, and Attack on Titan manga’s giant-sized version got officially recognized by the Guinness World Records as the ‘Largest Comic Book Published.’

It is the largest comic in the world (it will be certified as Guinness if 100 books are sold properly).
I said that humans wouldn’t buy it, but the advertiser insisted, “I want myself to commemorate the completion!”, So if it doesn’t sell, he should buy it.

The editor in charge of the Attack on Titan manga at Kodansha even thanked everyone on Twitter and appreciated the work put in to break the record.

The manga cost a whopping 165,000 Yen (US $1,540) and was available on Kodansha’s online store.

The gigantic manga was apparently created as a commemoration for the success of the series and to be read by Eren Yeager in his titan form.

The manga is written by Hajime Isayama, the man every fan wants to scream at and worship at the same time. No, we don’t even know how that works.

But if you really wanna understand why his fans hate him but at the same time cries because he created AoT, you will need to go read or watch it.
