Ultraman – Just the mere mention of the name brings back a great amount of nostalgia.
If you’re a Japanese superhero fan then you’ve probably heard of the alien hero Ultraman. And now Ultraman is coming back with the Shin Ultraman live-action movie and we just can’t contain our excitement.
Studio Khara’s Shin Ultraman will be premiered in the Summer of 2021. A teaser trailer and two visuals have been release to celebrate the news.
The 36 second teaser features some snippets from the upcoming Shin Ultraman movie.
It is really astonishing how well Studio Khara has recreated the old Ultraman look we grew with. We can also see the well recreated versions of alien monsters, Neronga and Gabora, in this live-action Shin Ultraman.
The visual poster for the upcoming movie shows the cast selected for the live-action. We can also see some of the actors featured in the teaser trailer.
The cast includes Takumi Saitou, who will be playing Ultraman, Live-action Gintama’s Masami Nagasawa, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Akari Hayami, and Shinsengumi’s Koji Yamamoto.

We already know this live-action movie is the 2nd Studio Khara project this year after the Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 anime film release.
Evangelion’s screening has been delayed due to Japan’s sudden Covid-19 situation. So, in the meantime, we can appease ourselves with just these teaser trailers.
So let’s wait and see what magic this new Ultraman brings to the table.
