Currently, the author is undergoing treatment for tenosynovitis and will take around a month to fully recover. Tenosynovitis is a medical condition where the synovium surrounding a tendon undergoes inflammation. It can lead to severe swelling and pain in the joints.

Health issues are not very rare in the entertainment industry. Often, content creators neglect their health which leads to severe consequences. Earlier in the month, Kenji Inoue, the author of “Grand Blue Dreaming,” was hospitalized after he complained of severe back pain.

The original Shaman King manga was serialized between 1998 and 2004. An anime adaptation aired back in 2001-02. A reboot series of the anime premiered earlier this year.
