In Episode 7, Yoh tasted defeat for the very first time in the Shaman Fight. He fought Johann well but was soon out of furyoku, which caused his downfall.

Yoh has to win the next round, otherwise he will be out of the tournament. He is up against Tao Ren, who is accused of killing one of the Shaman Fight’s officiants.

1. Episode 8 Speculation

Episode 7 will tell us more about Tao Ren’s newfound power with which he killed Chrome, one of the Ten Patch Officiants.

Shortly, Johan Flaust VIII appeared before him. He belongs to the infamous Flaust family, who was feared back in history. Centuries ago, one of his ancestors participated in the Shaman Fight and almost won it.

II. Johann vs. Yoh

Johann practices the art of necromancy, which allows him to bring the dead back to life. Since they are at a graveyard, Johan summons an entire army of skeletons.

Not only that, he takes Manta as a hostage and tortures him with a surgical knife while Yoh is pinned down by the skeletons. He breaks free from their grip and barely saves Manta.

III. Johan’s Lost Love

Johan plays his trump card and summons Eliza, the spirit that is most precious to him. She was his only friend back then when he was a loner.

She suffered from an incurable disease, so Johann studied medical science and found its cure. Later they got married and lived together happily till one day when Eliza was shot to death by a burglar.

5. About Shaman King

Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.

The series received an abrupt end on August 30, 2004, leaving fans disappointed.

The manga received a reprint in 2009 to give its fans the true ending to the series. It also received an adaptation by studio Xebec in 2001 that was directed by Seiji Mizushima.

It introduces us to a world of shamans. These Shamans are powerful beings who can see and communicate with spirits, ghosts, and gods.
