Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World is an anime based on Tappei Nagatsuki’s light novels of the same name.
The anime tells the story of Subaru Natsuki, a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) boy, who escapes his mundane life by getting transported into another world.
There he meets a silver haired girl named Emilia and helps her in her quest.
The novel released in 2012 quickly gained popularity paving the way for a manga adaptation in 2014 and subsequently an anime. Season 1 of the anime adaptation aired 25 episodes while Season 2 Part I aired 13 episodes back in July of 2020.
Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World is coming back with Season 2 Part II on January 6th, 2021. The artists selected for the Opening and Ending theme songs are also announced.

The first look for the visual of Season 2 Part II reveals the characters Natsuki, Emilia, Beatrice, and Meili.
Mayu Meishima will be performing the opening theme song titled “Long Shot” for Season 2 Part II.
Nonoc will be performing the ending theme song “Believe in you” for Season 2 Part II.
Season 2 Part I of Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World ended with episode 13 titled “The Sounds That Make You Want to Cry”.
In the episode, Subaru breaks down the witches fight on his own and sets out to rescue Emilia and the sanctuary.
We know Subaru has already gotten some glimpses of various events in the second trial; hopefully we get to see the memories being put into good use.
Season 2 Part II will also feature Satella, the witch of lust and see how much of an important role she plays in Subaru’s life.
We can’t wait to see what the story unfolds so that we can all delve into the Isekai world once more.
