Pokémon The Movie: Coco Winter 2020 Premiere Confirmed

Pokemon The Movie: Coco is the 23rd film in the franchise and was originally set to premiere on 10th July 2020. However, the official website for the film announced that it would be delayed due to the current pandemic.

Another bittersweet announcement by the website came recently.

Pokemon The Movie: Coco, initially slated for July 10, has now been rescheduled for a premiere in Winter 2020 in Japan. The exact premiere date has not yet been announced.

Even though the film had been rescheduled, fans were not given a definite date.

Along with the announcement for its reschedule, the website also announced some promotional material for the film. Special Tickets for the film will go on sale on 7th August and this will provide buyers with both “Okoya Forest Celebi” and “Okoya Forest Zarudo”.

Buyers of this special ticket will receive these Pokémon even if they don’t own the Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion pass.

The general Ticket will cost 1,400 yen and the Junior tickets will cost 800 yen.

The list of promotional material doesn’t stop there. Trainers who have befriended Zarudo in Pokémon Sword and Shield will get an opportunity to receive Satoshi’s cap. All they need to do is keep Zarudo in their party and talk to “Yoroi Jimaeki,” Only player with the expansion pass will be allowed to receive the cap.

The film will take a different direction highlighting the bond between humans and Pokémons. Rather than the usual encounter with legendary Pokémon, Ash will meet a boy named Coco who has been raised by Pokémon in the Okaya Forest.
