“Pokémon “ — The franchise has dominated both the anime and game industries for decades. People are always fond of the nostalgic Pokémon games, and it is the driving force behind the franchise still going strong.
The Pokémon Company will soon release two expansions to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, the Nintendo Switch game. The new expansion called “Armoured Island” or “The Isle of Armour” is slated for release on 17th June. The second expansion, “The Crown Tundra,” will release in fall this year.
The official website for Pokémon Sword and Shield also released a new preview for the upcoming updates. The preview video gives us a glimpse into new features and exciting new Pokémons, which will be added to the game.
The new features which will be added to “Isle of Armour” are a recycling and tool-making machine (Ururobo), new techniques, and dai/max soup. The recycling tool can make new tools by combining old tools, and the dai soup gives potential Kyodaimax pokémons special powers.
“The Crown Tundra” has special features like Dynamax Adventure (players can make teams of 4 to capture the Dynamax pokemon) and Galar Star Tournament (enjoy joint battles against opponents who appear in ‘Sword and Shield’).
Amongst the new Pokémons introduced in the game, some of the most eye-catching are the Galarian Moltres, Ulaos, Gigantamax form of Blastoise. Ulaos is the evolved form of Kubfu.
“Pokémon Sword and Shield” has inspired a short anime series which airs on YouTube, Pokémon: Twilight Wings. It is based on young trainers of the Galar region and their dreams and aspirations.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are developed by Game Freak and distributed by Nintendo for Nintendo Switch. It is a role-playing game where players have to overthrow the Pokémon league champion with the help of their Pokémons.
