Plunderer isn’t your another generic isekai anime. The show has a unique concept of ‘counts’ which determine one’s life cycle and social status in the world they live in. Despite starting on a low-tone, the series gets better with every passing episode.

I. Financial Standings

There is no official information about the total sales of the manga, but from the popularity of the anime, the manga must be doing good in the market.

II. About the Studio

The animation studio behind the isekai anime is the lesser known ‘GeekToys.’ They have only created three anime so far; out of those three, neither of them received a follow-up for a second season.

But since ‘Plunderer‘ had an outstanding response, the possibilities of a second season are high this time.

III. The Animation

The animation is crisp and detailed. The art style stands out; it’s vibrant and colorful. Whether it be characters’ outfits or the action sequences, they all look neat. Keeping in mind that this is coming from a pretty new studio, it’s certainly fascinating.

IV. About Suu Minazuki

Suu Minazuki is widely known for his fantasy comedy manga series ‘Heaven’s Lost Property.’ He is working on the sixteenth volume of Plunderer for now. He has been consistent from his side, releasing chapters constantly; from that, we can infer that he is in good health.

V. Production Update

GeekToys, Kadokawa, or any other production team hasn’t announced anything about the second installment of Plunderer.

Currently, there are fifteen volumes in total, so there’s a chance that there might be a 12 episode single cour in the future till Suu Minazuki completes the remaining volumes.

4. Expected Storyline/Plot for Season 2

The first season of Plunderer threw light on issues of societies and its segregations, reservations based on cast and the corrupted social hierarchy.

While delving on similar issues, Season 2 will kickstart with Licht, Hina, and others discreetly infiltrating the royal capital in search of the original ballots to see whether there are other aces or not. Meanwhile, Hina couldn’t shake off the idea of Schumelmann Bach being an unkind person to her and Licht. At the same time, the royal capital is facing a conspiracy of its own; if they don’t resolve it quickly, they will find themselves at war with the Abyss.

The next season will take a darker route and Schumelmann’s tragic backstory will be revealed. The capital is in chaos, and Licht is dressed as an ugly woman. If adapted correctly, this season might turn out to be one of the best.

5. Key Visual

There is no key visual released yet, but the second season will adapt from Volume 10.
