One Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0 Game Launches on June 30

One Punch Man’s first season, released in 2015, was a massive success due to its unique story and compelling animation.

Even in its second season, what makes its audience come back to the show is not the insane strength Saitama possesses, but his eternal struggle to experience the thrill of battle again.

The One Punch Man franchise has inspired many games on almost all platforms, from smartphones to gaming consoles.

A recent addition to this list of games is One-Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0, a sequel to the popular One-Punch Man: Road to Hero smartphone game.

Oasis Games Ltd. had announced that One-Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0 will launch for Android and iOS on June 30, 2020.

Oasis Games also announced that the players playing One-Punch Man: Road to Hero will receive a reward in One-Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0 to advance their progress.

The game will build on its prequel from 2019 and bring a fresh new experience to delight fans and role-playing gamers.

According to their press release:

“Players will collect and train characters representing all the heroes from the series, with a streamlined approach that makes it easier to build a strong combat team while preserving all the strategy of assembling and placing characters to overcome each set of challenges and opponents.

Saitama isn’t a playable character (he would unbalance the combat!), but all other characters will be available.

The game has two strategic battle modes: a rich Story mode, following Saitama’s complete adventures, and a diverse City mode that provides daily and ongoing challenges.

From Recruiting new heroes to a floor-based Extreme Trial, from the daily Road to Be Strong competition to Guilds, in-game Friends, and Leaderboards.”

The game has been made in co-operation with the art team behind the anime series to do justice to its source.

They had previously released the beta version for the app on May 6, 2020, which was accessible only in United Kingdom, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Austria.

One Punch Man

On an unnamed Earth-like supercontinent planet, powerful monsters and villains have been wreaking havoc in the cities. To combat them, the world’s government created a Hero Association that employs superheroes to stop them. The heroes are ranked from Class C to Class S.

Saitama, an unassociated hero, hails from the metropolis of City-Z and performs heroic deeds for his own entertainment. He has trained himself to the point where he broke his “limit” and can effortlessly defeat any opponent with a single punch while slaying monsters the same way. But he is now bored with his omnipotence and frustrated by sensing he lacks a challenge.
