4. Chapter 132 Speculations/Predictions

I. A Unique Friendship

Chapter 131 ended with Saitama introducing himself to a monster named Manako. It is likely that in the next chapter, we will see Saitama forging a sort-of friendship with Manako, which has countless implications.

Once Saitama befriends Manako, anyone who hurts her will get punched.

II. Heroes vs. Monsters

Now that the final fight is starting between Tatsumaki and Psykos, we will definitely see a heated high-stakes esper fight between them. With all of the heroes now converging to that location, an all-out war may start.

So far, we saw the heroes split up and fight separate monsters. We may get to see different heroes synergizing with each other to take down the Monster association for good.

5. Chapter 131 Plot

The chapter starts off by showing Metal Bat in a hospital watching the news with his sister. Despite having a broken body, his spirit is still intact, and he sneaks out of the hospital to rush to the fight scene.

We then see many other (previously defeated) heroes such as Tank Top Master, his crew, Mumen Rider, and the Fubuki group also rush to the fight scene despite their injuries.

The fighters from the martial arts tournament also feel like going. Still, Suiryuu stops them, saying that it’s not their time yet and that they need to hone their mind to selflessly help people before they can go.

We see Saitama, the guide monster, and Flashy Flash stuck under the debris after Tatsumaki raised this giant structure back at the fight scene. The guide monster can apparently shine light through his eyes and helps Saitama see around. They discover that Flashy Flash is actually stuck under the ground, and if they move rocks to take him out, the whole place might fall apart.

After being annoyed by being called “eyeball”, the monster says that its name is Manako (which is the Japanese word for Manako) and that its a female. The chapter ends with Saitama introducing himself to Manako.

6. About One Punch Man

One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero webcomic created by the artist One in early 2009. It has a manga adaptation illustrated by Yusuke Murata, as well as an anime adaptation. Following its publication, the webcomic quickly went viral, surpassing 7.9 million hits in June 2012.

On an unnamed Earth-like supercontinent planet, powerful monsters and villains have been wreaking havoc in the cities. To combat them, the world’s government created a Hero Association that employs superheroes to stop them. The heroes are ranked from Class C to Class S.

Saitama, an unassociated hero, hails from the metropolis of City-Z and performs heroic deeds for entertainment. He has trained himself to the point where he broke his “limit” and can effortlessly defeat any opponent with a single punch while slaying monsters the same way. But he is now bored with his omnipotence and frustrated by sensing he lacks a challenge.
